I’m Linda Orji, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over Eleven years of experience in health care. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for individuals with both medical and psychiatric conditions, which deepened my understanding of the powerful connection between the mind, body, and overall well-being.
I am a psychiatrist with years of further training and experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I treat a wide array of issues, ranging from anxiety, depression, grief, problems in intimate relationships, and chronic dissatisfaction to a general sense of malaise. I also work with patients who are experiencing confusion about their feelings and an inability to make important decisions, and who thereby feel stuck and unable to move forward. In addition, I help patients going through a crisis or a life transition that may lead to an increased burden of demands requiring change.
I work with patients to help them recount and revisit their life's story and create a new narrative that works better for them. In that spirit, I don't give overt advice, instructions, or quick solutions, but instead encourage them to arrive at their own solutions after carefully exploring the roots of their current problems.
I have a judicious approach to prescribing medications when warranted to support the work of therapy.
I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with a professional background focusing on mood disorders, anxiety, and challenges in relationships. I attach importance to the ways issues of culture, race, trauma, family dynamics, and migration influence how we carry ourselves in the world and approach our experiences.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist with expertise in medication management, psychoanalysis, CBT and mindfulness-based therapy. I also have expertise in interventional treatments (ECT, TMS, Ketamine) and work as a clinical professor at Northwell Zucker Hillside Hospital. I work with adults (ages 18 to 65) and have openings in the evening and weekends for busy working professionals. I specialize in treating a wide array of conditions: Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety, and Insomnia. At this time, I am only taking patients who are interested in medication management not individual therapy.
Please note: I am currently available for clinical diagnosis, custom treatment plan and a combination of therapy with medication management for monthly 30 minute follow ups & sooner for regimen changes. Currently waitlisted for more frequent talk therapy.
My individualized approach to mental health is to adapt to each client’s unique needs, meeting them where they are and collaboratively building a path forward. I strive to help each individual develop personalized strategies for managing their mental health challenges and achieving their wellness goals. I also aim to provide a safe space to build upon emotional resilience and personal growth. My goal is to empower clients to achieve and maintain long-term well-being. No struggle is too small, and everyone deserves a space to be heard and heal.
