Hi! I’m Kalie and I am excited to offer person-centered therapy for individuals and families in their journey to personal growth and better self understanding. With my background in adventure therapy, ABA, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family dynamics, I offer a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy that is tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I have experience working with a diverse range of issues, including:
Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD
Relationship Difficulties
Life transitions and growth
Stress Management and Coping
Trauma
I blend evidence-based practices with a relational, conversational style. I focus on helping you understand your patterns, strengthen your emotional awareness, and assist you in obtaining the tools that fit your real life. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right—slow and reflective when needed, practical and action-oriented when it’s helpful.
I have dual Master’s Degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Education. My background in education consist of teaching elementary and middle school children, which allows me to connect with children and adolescents very easily. I also have worked with parents and guardians to overcome hurdles associated with parenting and kinship care.
Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My counseling approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and client-centered counseling. My goal as a counselor will be to work with you to meet your counseling goals and provide support and hope that your level of daily functioning can improve. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I am energetic and hardworking. Caring and open-minded yet honest. The work may not be easy but together we can face the challenges and work towards a better outcome.
I am an experienced mental health counselor committed to helping people bring more meaning, laughter, curiosity, creativity and self-compassion into their lives. Through identifying obstacles to reaching these states and collaborating to find solutions, we can work together to break damaging cycles and face the future with confidence. If you feel exhausted and resentful from having to do it all on your own, please take a chance and reach out.
I am a licensed social worker with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals in higher education and community-based settings. My background includes working with college students and young adults navigating transitions, identity development, stress, and mental health challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in social work and have extensive experience designing and facilitating programs that support emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth.
In my clinical work, I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and burnout. I also have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and purpose.
