Why We’ll Work Well Together
If this resonates, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
I am so glad you are taking this important step towards healing. I am Megan, a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have spent most of my career working with children and families who have experienced trauma but have shifted my focus to working with adult clients for now. I am a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and trained in the Circle of Security parenting program, the Nurturing Parenting program and Making Sense of Your Own Self Worth program.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in crisis intervention, child welfare, and pediatric behavioral health. I am passionate about helping children, teens, and families feel supported and understood. I bring a warm, approachable style and focus on building trust and connection.
I'm a fellow millennial who gets just how tough "adulting" can be. Maybe your days are just passing by, life is feeling harder or less enjoyable than it should, or you do not have someone who "just gets you". Therapy is for everyone. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, or uncertain about which direction to take in life, I'm here to walk with you through it. Together, we'll explore where you are and where you want to go, at a pace that feels right for you.
Clients should know that I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for healing and growth. With expertise in psychotherapy, neurodivergence, trauma, and vocational rehabilitation, I take a holistic and client-centered approach, tailoring each session to individual needs.
I believe in empowering clients by helping them develop self-awareness, resilience, and practical coping strategies. My work is rooted in evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I am especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those facing life transitions, trauma, or career challenges.
Above all, I value authenticity, collaboration, and creating a non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported on their journey toward mental wellness.
I am a licensed clinical therapist with a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
Throughout my career, I have worked with adults, adolescents, couples, families, young professionals, and parents, helping them navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem, and burnout. I also have experience supporting individuals facing grief and loss, marital concerns, career transitions, postpartum adjustment, and chronic illnesses.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in both insight and practical tools for change. I value authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel truly seen and understood.
Above all, I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to bring clinical expertise, curiosity, and care—while honoring you as the expert of your own lived experience.
My name is Lynsey Poblete and I was born in Toronto, Canada and have lived in Houston for 28 years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 2008 from Sam Houston State University (SHSU). In 2012, I received a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School and in 2014 a Master of Arts in Counseling from SHSU. I enjoy helping the community with improving self-care and working through new ways to handle life stress. I work with kids, adolescents, adults of all ages and couples. I have six kids of all ages, a husband and three dogs that make up my amazing home! I enjoy working with programs that teach others how to swim, going to school, and spending time with my family. I encourage ownership of counseling sessions by providing flexibility among theories and growth towards reaching someone’s full capacity through all complex situations.
