With 30 years of experience as a therapist, I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Stanford University, specializing in school and community-based counseling. I'm dedicated to guiding clients through challenges like trauma, anxiety, and depression, fostering self-awareness and providing practical strategies for greater clarity and fulfillment. My practice is built on a compassionate approach, crafting personalized, evidence-based therapy to help you thrive. I also bring a unique perspective from my work as a university professor and international consultant, promoting mental health equity and inclusivity worldwide.
If you are anxious and feeling overwhelmed, therapy can help you find relief. If it is hard to say no and you are exhausted from taking care of everyone but yourself, I will work collaboratively to create a safe therapeutic environment that focuses on you.
Therapy can reduce feelings of depression, shame and low self-worth. My approach addresses challenges with grief and loss, relationships, substance use and codependency. With my more than 35 years of experience, I am confident that we will find a way to help you to achieve a better sense of fulfillment and serenity.

Support throughout life, especially during life transitions, is critical yet often hard to find. Family and friends may be unavailable or simply not understand. Furthermore, guilt, shame and overwhelm can complicate navigating transitions, whether due to a significant loss, medical diagnosis, new beginnings or a host of other reasons.
I am a licensed mental health therapist who is well versed in providing support to diverse individuals working through life transitions including the immense pain and harsh reality that grief and loss can bring. I am also a trained perinatal mental health therapist with a passion for providing support during preconception, pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

Please give me a call today, we can see how to work together for a better quality of life.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC-IV) with over 16 years of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment. I was certified in 2012 for addiction treatment and licensed in 2022 for mental health. I work with adults navigating substance use and recovery, co-occurring anxiety and depression, and life transitions that impact emotional well-being.
I have particular experience supporting men and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in building sustainable recovery, strengthening emotional resilience, and improving relationship health. My work is grounded in a deep respect for the recovery process and the courage it takes to pursue change. I understand that growth is rarely linear, and I approach each client with patience, steadiness, and practical support.
I provide structured, virtual outpatient therapy for adults managing mild to moderate symptoms who are seeking stability, accountability, and meaningful forward movement. At the heart of my work is a commitment to clarity and care to help clients better understand themselves while feeling respected, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
