Healing from trauma is not a straight path and you don’t have to walk it alone. I specialize in supporting people of all ages, from youth as young as 10 to older adults, in processing and healing from difficult experiences. My approach is eclectic, drawing on a variety of evidence-based tools, with a foundation in a client-centered philosophy. I adapt each session to meet you where you are, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Hi, do you struggle to relate to yourself and others? I am a trauma therapist specializing in loneliness, anxiety, and depression related to past trauma.
After working for years with folks who feel hopeless about their future happiness, I have come to realize that healing and wellness are usually more within our reach than we think. If you witnessed violence in the past, or feel misunderstood as a child and have a complicated relationship with your culture and family that prevents you from being who you are, we can find ease and wellness together.
It takes courage to challenge our traumas and become the person who relates in healthier ways. I am here to support you on that journey. Together, we will grieve what is lost and rebuild who you are.
Taking the first step toward healing is a courageous act, and I’m here to support you on this journey. Whether you’re navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship difficulties, or life stress, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your needs. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work toward building the clarity, confidence, and balance you deserve.
Hello! My name is Megan Hilton, and I am an LPC mental health counselor. I obtained my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University in March of 2023, where I began seeing clients and gaining experience. I specialized in child and adolescent therapy while in school and have continued working with youths between 5 - 18 years old. I attended therapy myself as a child and adolescent and feel my personal experience has allowed me to better understand my younger clients. I have also gained experience working with adults through individual, couples, and family counseling.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018 from the University of Maryland, then subsequently earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. I have experience working in an inpatient psychiatric facility caring for adults with various psychiatric conditions. My goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.
I am licensed and credentialed in New Jersey and Colorado. I am accepting new clients from those states.
I received both my bachelors in Anthropology and my masters in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!). I also spent a year interning in the bereavement counseling center at Pathways Hospice, and before becoming a counselor I spent nearly ten years doing nursing social work for a long term care facility.
