Who am I? I am a Women's Health Nurse practitioner and a licensed professional counselor. With 20 years of experience.
Hi, I'm Marisa. I specialize in supporting the women who are always 'the strong ones'—the dependable professionals, daughters, and partners who hold it all together while quietly carrying the weight of burnout and anxiety.
Many of my clients have spent years pushing through their own needs to show up for others. While that strength served you for a long time, it often leads to a sense of feeling stuck, numb, or disconnected. I offer a grounded, trauma-informed space where you can finally stop performing and start healing. Licensed in Ohio and Colorado, I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding to help you move at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system.
I am a licensed professional with 4 years of direct practice experience. I have experience with supporting clients in overcoming trauma, abuse, and communication issues.
I am a licensed clinical social worker of over 25 years' experience. I have spent the majority of my career in integrated medical settings and am committed to patient centered, whole person care. In addition to my years of experience as a psychotherapist, I also have extensive experience as a director which involves developing behavioral health programs, leading professional clinical teams and mentoring students and new graduates.
Hello, I'm Emily - I'm happy you're here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through some of life’s most challenging moments. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a school therapist, supporting students with IEPs as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges within the school setting. For 13 years, I worked in hospitals as a Certified Child Life Specialist, walking alongside children and families as they navigated chronic illness, medical trauma, and end-of-life experiences.
As your therapist, I offer a space that is nonjudgmental, kind, and genuinely welcoming. I understand that trying new ways of facing life's challenges can be intimidating, and my goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout that process.
Professionally, I bring experience from a variety of challenging settings—including my time serving clients and families in foster care and nursing homes, even through the COVID-19 pandemic. My academic foundation is rooted right here in Colorado, having attended CSU and Adams State.
Personally, I'm a native Coloradan, a bonus mom, and a lover of all things creative, including photography and fine art.
My ultimate purpose in this work is simple: to be an open and secure space where you can process your journey, question mindsets that no longer serve you, and work toward being the best version of yourself—as you define it.
I’m Alicia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of Just Beyond Yourself Therapy. I work with adults and folx navigating trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma (C-PTSD), overwhelming stress, anxiety, or difficulty managing strong emotions, challenges in relationships, life transitions, and those navigating difficult experiences. I am certified in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed, with additional training in mindfulness-based therapies and a background in Buddhist psychology. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in mindfulness and compassion, creating a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world, process difficult experiences, and develop tools for emotional regulation, self-compassion, and resilience. I cannot do the work for you, but I can help you navigate it with guidance, compassion, and curiosity.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, panic, grief, anger, and the kind of chronic stress that builds up quietly over time. My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused — we'll spend time understanding what's weighing on you, but we'll also build practical coping skills you can actually use between sessions. I've worked across a range of settings — inpatient psychiatric care, case management, group home work, and private practice — which means I'm comfortable with a wide range of presentations. As an LCSW licensed in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Montana, I can also be a stable point of contact if you move or split time between states. Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I'd be glad to walk it with you.
I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that fosters bravery and invites people to reveal their authentic selves. Because I believe that therapy is most beneficial when it is lively and collaborative, I use a direct and open manner in treatment. I will work with you to create a therapy that is effective for you as an individual.
