Deciding to look for a therapist let alone beginning therapy can be a daunting task for many. We’re told that our mental health isn’t a priority, that we shouldn’t be weak and that we should ‘stop being sad’ or ‘get over it’ with such great advice from family and friends alike no wonder our issues and stresses seem to only get worse. More often than not we seek therapy because the people in our lives refuse to go to therapy.
I am a licensed clinical social worker based in south Florida. I received my bachelors degree in psychology, and a masters degree in social work. I have over 5 years of experience working with vulnerable populations. My expertise extends to young adults facing daily challenges including relationship issues, peer dynamics, and coping skills. I welcome a warm and non-judgmental environment.
Life is full of challenges, and at times it can feel overwhelming to navigate everything that is happening. You may feel stressed, worried, sad, or unsure of how to move forward. Perhaps you are experiencing grief, going through a divorce, facing substance use challenges, struggling in a stressful work environment, or dealing with relationship or communication difficulties. You may feel lost — unsure of what to do, who to talk to, or how to manage different situations.
That is where I come in.
Reaching out for support is the first step toward healing and positive change. It may be the first step toward moving forward, becoming more aware of your triggers and learning healthier ways to respond, or finding space to heal, forgive, and reconnect with gratitude and happiness.
