As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I have a wealth of experience treating all populations adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Starting as nurse aide, I have been in this field for over 20 years. I obtained an associate degree in nursing from Hudson County Community College, a Bachelor of Science from New Jersey City University, a Master of Science from Wilkes University, and currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree at Wilkes University. I am mindful that growing up, so many peoples around me who had mental health challenges were often misunderstood and, as such, did not receive the proper care they needed. I have 10+ years of experience working with preteens, teens, and adults in both clinical and non-clinical manners. I began my career as a therapist working at and developing a clinical program within a public school system. Additionally, I worked for a company which provided Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services for youth and families in Bergen County. These career opportunities have rewarded me with a wealth of knowledge in areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and peer conflict, school avoidance and life transitions for preteens, teens, and even young adults.
