I am a strengths based, solution focused therapist who believes we all have an inherent ability to heal, but that ability may be blocked by difficult and traumatic life events.
My goal as a therapist is to help guide you toward authenticity while re-establishing interpersonal connections with those around you. Whether you’re looking to gain skills, problem-solving for everyday stress, or are experiencing major life events, we can explore and work toward your personal goals collaboratively. I have a specialty in working with individuals who don’t have a good relationship with food and are seeking to repair their body image, self-esteem, and comfortability with food.
Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 7 years of experience helping individuals manage mental health and substance use concerns. My approach to therapy is warm, welcoming, client-centered, and often sprinkled with humor and optimism to make the journey feel a little lighter. I believe in meeting clients where they are, and I tailor my techniques to suit each person’s unique strengths and goals.
I work with children (ages 11+), adolescents, and adults, offering support across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or struggling with substance use, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore your concerns and build meaningful change. I also work with individuals experiencing challenges such as domestic violence, anger management issues, adjustment disorders, and family or romantic relationship struggles. I have extensive experience working with mandated clients and those navigating probation or the criminal justice system.
I hold a Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Siena College. My clinical work includes experience with alcohol, cannabis, opiate, and hallucinogen use disorders, as well as mood and personality disorders including bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. I also support clients coping with grief and loss.
