I have had the pleasure of practicing psychotherapy for more than 15 years helping adolescent and adults in both individual and family therapy. As a minority LBGTQ+ identified therapist, you and I will utilize Cognitive Behavior to explore and examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviors towards more rationally conscious and healthy patterns

---“Beginnings can be scary, endings can be sad, but it’s the middle that counts. We just need to remember that when we find ourselves at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up” (Sandra Bullock, Hope Floats)
Does it feel like you’ve been going through life in “survival mode?” Are you asking yourself “what is my purpose in life?” Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed by fear when considering a change in your life? Are you trying to navigate a transition in your life--job, relocation, relationships, chronic illness/disability etc? Let’s face it, life doesn’t always work out the way we plan and can make us feel all kinds of different emotions. It’s ok to not feel ok all the time. We all go through challenging times in our lives. We don’t have to have a mental health disorder to seek a professional. We may need to seek out someone who can provide a guiding hand, and an objective ear to listen, to help you discover your own underlying strengths, and to provide you with answers to your questions and help you along your journey. I can help you learn to listen to your body, quiet your mind, and follow your heart to find peace within your soul.

Welcome to my page and congratulations on taking the first step to improved mental health. My name is Stephanie and I have been a social worker for the past 13 years. I have since had much experience working with adolescents and adults with both medical and mental health challenges. I have also worked closely with new moms on many of the challenges they face postpartum and working through those challenges together. My experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings allow me to connect with clients at various stages to help overcome challenges.
Life is about change and some changes are more difficult to navigate than others. When we are stressed, anxious or depressed, it is a sign that our lives are out of balance. My focus is on providing a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental and compassionate space for adults, couples, and families to share their experiences and to help navigate through some more difficult life changes [positive or negative] to create more balance in your life. I have at least 4 years of experience in working with a wide range of people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflict, as well as symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to make changes to improve their lives, find purpose, and meaningful fulfillment. I would encourage you to create the skills for effective coping mechanisms for overall wellness. I can collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, social service agencies and will accept most health insurances. Deciding to engage in therapy and choosing a therapist can be overwhelming. Finding a therapist whose personality and style is a good fit with yours is important. More importantly, I see YOU as the expert in your life with unique values, needs and issues. I look forward to helping you to more effectively pursue your values and explore what keeps you from being the best you ever.
