Welcome. Taking the first step toward support is not always easy, and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and I’ve been working in mental health since 2007. My background includes inpatient and outpatient therapy, drug and alcohol treatment, correctional settings, foster care, and work with children and families. This diverse experience allows me to approach each person with understanding, flexibility, and care.
Hi! My name is John. I am a warm, welcoming therapist who believes that healing happens best in a space where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself-humor included. I earned my Master's degree in 2016 and bring over ten years of experience working in the Mental Health/Counseling field. I am trained in trauma-informed care and prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in our work together, moving at a pace that feels right for you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is queer and autistic/ADHD. I love the arts and spirituality, and enjoy working with kids and young adults the most. The populations I specialize working with include individuals identifying as non-manogomous, neurodivergent, trans/queer, and most other alt/weird/unique/geeky/nerdy folx. Mindfulness is an important aspect of therapy for my practice, as is creating a therapeutic environment that feels safe for marginalized groups.
Welcome!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience, I focus on supporting the whole person, not just their mental health. While we address your primary concerns, we won’t overlook other aspects of your life. My passion and excitement for helping others comes from knowing I’m fulfilling my purpose. In addition to therapy, my experience spans crisis intervention, substance abuse, inpatient psychiatric care, child welfare, nonprofit program development, and leadership. Some areas I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, family stressors, and conflict resolution.
